First visit to Cornwall for Kai & Ham!

Last weekend we took a last minute dash down to cornwall to suprise my parents, who had been down there for a weeks break. I haven't been down to Corwall in about 4 years, bearing in mind we used to go down with my Nana every school holiday possible. We have a family dog friendly cottage, on gwithian towans which share the well known 3 miles of golden sand beach of Cornwall, which is in the same bay as the well known St.Ives. Its blissful!!
We visited alot of places that I haven't been to since we lost my Nan, and also where we scattered my Nans ashes!

Here are some pictures :)

And some of the doggies!..

Hamilton, the most un water dog in the world takes a tinyyy dip haha!

Update..

The dogs continue to have fun, and causing mahem in the house..

Kai is doing really well now.. we are currently trying to find somewhere to train most weeks, the summer season to me has come to and end and I couldnt be more happier with her.
My aim at the start of the season in may, was to reach grade 4 and have lots of fun, well we definatly have we have learnt alot on the way together and she has reached grade 6!!.. Her contacts in the ring are brilliant at the moment all bare her seesaw which we have lots of work to do on, and she is working really well, she gained a 9th in a very fast grade 6 jumping at her first grade 6 show, which I was very pleased with but more so pleased with her clear in grade 6 agility, which she was unplaced (placings to 10th).. I held my aframe and dogwalk, and looked at the timing and she was 2.3 seconds of the winner, and it was a massive open course, so really happy with that!!

It is indoors from now on, but havent got anything for a while and looking forward to getting some training done here and there.
We are of to visit Leah at the Many Tears rescue in a couple of weeks, and staying up there for a week, which I am massivly looking forward to! :)

Here are some pictures from out early morning walk!

I just loveeeee this first image!!!!!

Its been a long time...

... We are finally getting back into a routine, and apart from somewhere to train we are doing really well! :)

Kai has ended what I class as the summer season in grade 6!!
As much as I wanted to keep her in grade 5 for the winter, and after going grade 5 had decided to train all my contacts and get some consistency back with them, this has kind of gone out the window now and we will have to do it in grade 6 classes now!
Despite holding both her dog walk and aframe in her last class on Monday, she won grade 5 agility by 4 seconds, and was 5 seconds of the grade 7 winner who ran and pushed all her contacts. Can I complain!? Yes.. I wanted to qualify for the novice Olympia next year! :( haha...

No I am really pleased, and although I don't think she is ready for it, I will be working very hard this winter so hopefully next year she will be ready for grade 6!

We had a nice time at the KC, and despite the fact that I dont actually like the show on a whole, Its one of those shows I always feel I have to go to and enjoy it whilst we are there! :)... Onto DIN, we had a lovely week... Wasn't quite as good as the year before, something felt different but we are not that sure what!
Kai was brilliant all week, she was very head strong the first couple of days but then pulled out some good placings to which we had hoped would put her in the final.. Low and behold she qualified 14th and top 13 qualified, I was gutted. This was one of my 3 aims of the year and she missed out by 1 point. What annoyed me more was the fact that 2 dogs did not turn up for the final so they actually only ran 11 dogs! :(

Anyway, I have just found a lovely bunch of pictures from the KC...

I really like them, to me she is looking really good at the mo, and these show her of a bit! :)

We have no competitions, but hopefully alot of training for the next couple of weeks, then we are of to Easington which is always a good weekend, and although we will be very busy as I am ring manager for Steven, hopefully we will have some good runs at our last grade 5 show! :)
